The Federated Senior Housing Associates, an organization of family and community volunteers committed to the best possible quality of life for the residents of the Jewish Federation Senior Housing buildings and Saltzman merged with the JGH Auxiliary in 2015 to become the Friends of Jewish Senior Housing.
The Associates sponsored special programs, both in the buildings and off-campus, holiday celebrations, educational and wellness classes, themed parties, and friendly visits. Their fundraising efforts enabled them to purchase a new 18-passenger, wheelchair-accessible bus, as well as provide improvements for the buildings’ common areas such as; elevator display cases, fish tanks, an 80-inch television, computers, Skype cameras and barbecue grills.
Volunteers are always welcome to help serve a Shabbat or holiday dinner, deliver a welcome package to a new resident or consider joining the Friends of Jewish Senior Housing which meets to plan for future needs. Now is your chance to make a difference. This is your opportunity to help maintain the warm, caring, family atmosphere at the Jewish Federation Senior Housing building.
