Resident Life

At the Jewish Senior Housing and Healthcare Service, we know that meaningful social and recreational activities make a significant, positive impact on the lives of our residents. That’s why we’ve created an active lifestyle filled with fun and friends – and no other affordable housing community in the area offers this type of life-enriching programming.

Our residents enjoy a full activities program with social events, exercise classes, cultural opportunities and interesting lifelong learning programs. Here, residents have the chance to spend their days doing activities they enjoy, surrounded by friends and neighbors.

Learn how to paint a masterpiece. Join a book or gardening club. Start a knitting group or be part of a Wii bowling team. Attend a poetry class or take part in a current events discussion. Join a theatre trip to Philadelphia. Limber up and get stronger with your choice of yoga, strength training or balance training. Use our exercise machines. Email family and friends at the computer center.

Whatever your desire, our wide array of activities and events provide many opportunities for you to get to know your neighbors and to pursue your individual interests.

JSHHS provides a daily Kosher lunch program for residents in the community dining rooms. Menus feature a main entrée with several alternate choices that are available each day. The main dishes, soups, desserts, breads and rolls are prepared fresh daily. Holidays and birthdays can be celebrated with special menus in our dining room. Preview a Kosher menu »

Because we know you have better things to do than worry about cleaning, we offer regular housekeeping services. At a JSHHS community, our goal is to make your life as hassle-free as possible so that you can spend your days doing what you enjoy.
